Whaling what?

Don’t worry, unless you’re in the tech world, it’s unlikely that you’ll have heard of this cyber threat. A whaling attack, sometimes referred to as CEO fraud, involves a sneaky form of impersonation.

Imagine this, one of your staff receives an email from you. A pretty good impersonation of you anyway. And it’s asking them to pay an urgent bill to a new supplier. How likely is it that ‘urgent bill’ would be paid?

Because when that email hasn’t actually come from you, and your staff falls for it, your business has become a victim of whaling phishing.

Our new video tells you more about this form of cyber-crime and what to be on the lookout for. Check it out and share it with your staff to make sure your business is safe from criminals.
